Sola de Vega, Oaxaca. Year 2004
During his journey in the search for mezcals distilled in clay pots, the Fisherman of Dreams found a “palenque” whose simplicity was magical. This place amazed him by the nature of its surroundings, where wild agave species grew without stress due to the climatic conditions. That was the moment when Tío Fernando offered him his Coyote mezcal, which became one of the Fisherman’s favorites.
After a long journey positioning Santa Sabia’s mezcal brands in Europe and other parts of the world, the Fisherman of Dreams decides to invest in this ancestral palenque treasure.
The creation of Tio Pesca defines Santa Sabia’s current moment, expressing the link to the past in an ancestral mezcal endemic from Sola de Vega with its 4 varieties:
Coyote, Mexicano, Tobalá and Arroqueño.
